Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in touring the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR). To request a group visit, please fill out and submit the form below. Your group visit is not confirmed until you receive a FINAL confirmation email from our office. If you have any questions about visiting, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Admissions at 507-258-8686. 

Although we try to accommodate all group visit requests, due to space and staffing, there may be times when we are unable to host a group.  A two week minimum notice is required and requests will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note that we cannot accommodate elementary or middle school groups or host any group visits on Saturdays or Sundays.

WHAT KIND OF GROUP TOURS DOES UMR OFFER?
Our tour schedule consists of a 30 minute information session and a 75 minute walking campus tour led by current UMR Student Ambassadors. If you would like to set up an alternative schedule, please indicate your group needs within the Additional Requests or Information section on our form. 

DOES UMR PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO CAMPUS VISITORS?
Campus visitors must provide their own transportation to campus. To discuss your group's needs, please contact us at ApplyUMR@r.umn.edu or call 507-258-8686. 

DOES UMR PROVIDE LUNCH OR REFRESHMENTS TO CAMPUS VISITORS?
Due to limited resources, we are unable to cover the cost of lunch for visitors. However, we are happy to provide locations for students and chaperones to eat lunch. We can also make arrangements in advance for visitors to purchase their own meals from local area restaurants. HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN ATTEND A GROUP VISIT?
A UMR Group Visit can accommodate a maximum of 50 students. Because of UMR's health sciences focus, we ask that you only bring students with relevant career interests. Group Visits must have one chaperone per 15 students.
